AVK's Innovative Water Solutions: Addressing Egypt's Water Challenges 01-06-2023

The 7th edition of Watrex Expo 2023, the Exhibition and Conference for Water and Wastewater Technologies, took place in Cairo, Egypt from May 15th to 17th. This trade fair brought together local and multinational companies, government bodies, and key personnel involved in water management aiming to address Egypt's water challenges.

With Egypt facing pressing challenges such as water scarcity, population growth, and environmental pollution, the need for effective water resource management and modern wastewater treatment solutions is more crucial than ever. Watrex Expo 2023 aimed to address these issues and promote innovative solutions to create a sustainable future by bringing the Ministry of Housing and Utilities, Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resourcing, The Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, National Authority for Potable Water and Sewage, and The Water Department of the Egyptian Armed Engineering Authority responsible for the water and wastewater mega projects under one roof.

Under the umbrella of the Trade Council of Denmark in Egypt, AVK in Egypt showcased the butterfly valve solutions, focusing specifically on combating non-revenue water and pressure management in the water-supply network. The central theme was optimizing water usage and reducing wastage and how, AVK's solutions offer an innovative approach to tackling the local challenges faced by the Egyptian water market.

 

Throughout the three-day fair, The Trade Council of Denmark and AVK's booth buzzed with activity as colleagues engaged with key government personnel, customers, and stakeholders. These fruitful discussions revolved around the rising water challenges Egypt faces and the urgent need for efficient water resource management in the country's growing water market. AVK's presence and expertise in the field were well-received, further solidifying position as a trusted partner in the water industry.

The trade fair was a success, drawing in over 23,000 carefully selected visitors from Egypt, Africa, and the Gulf. With 400 exhibitors showcasing their solutions and services, the event served as a vibrant hub for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among industry professionals and decision-makers.
